a lazy afternoon at cafe found
With the opening of The Editor’s Market’s (TEM) flagship store in Takashimaya, came their first in-store cafe, Cafe Found.
After seeing their artistic offerings on the gram, I decided to head down and try a few items from their menu.
Lucky for me, I went on a weekday so it was not too crowded. However, there was a 45 minute dine-in time limit.
I got a lemon loaf, one of their famous cube cakes, a sesame latte, and a normal latte.
The sesame latte was definitely something worth trying; it had a unique nutty taste that I never really had in any drink before. As for the lemon loaf (or rather, square) it was nothing special, but not terrible either. The icing, although thick, could have been a tad bit sweeter to enhance the faint lemon taste of the cake.
Whenever I eat lemon loaves, I subconsciously compare them to the ones from Mother Dough Bakery. That establishment has the best lemon loaf cake I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a good deal of lemon loaves!
Would I go back? Definitely! I’d love to try more of their gorgeous menu, but I’d have to fatten up my wallet first to prepare for the damage.
Overall, Cafe Found is a great place to rest and refuel after a long shopping session at TEM, or just to enjoy an afternoon tea snack. Their seating area is rather limited, so be sure to visit during weekdays or non-peak hours (basically weekends).
