rainy day coffee run at asylum coffeehouse

The weather has been exceptionally unpredictable these few weeks. One moment its blistering hot, the next its pouring. One such day when this occurred was when my friend and I visited Asylum Coffeehouse, which was a short walk from Lavender MRT station. It was a small, quaint establishment, with a surprising amount of food options and your standard coffee menu.

We got an Iced White, Iced Mocha, and a Canelé to share. The coffee was on the bitter side, but nothing too overbearing. The Canelé was chewy on the inside, and crisp on the outside, although I personally feel that it could be bigger. Then again, I am a fan of Canelés, so no amount would ever be enough.

There are many other cafes in the area near Asylum Coffeehouse, so it would be a perfect place to stop by if you plan a full day itinerary of café-hopping in the Lavender!
